FARMHOUSE
The origin of the farmhouse dates back to the Middle Ages. The name of La Serra appears linked to a property already in the 12th century and to a family established there at the end of the 13th century, as indicated in the catalog of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
COMPANY
Vega de Ribes is a family business dedicated to the production and botteling of own-harvested quality wines. The grapes are obtained from the vineyards of the La Serra estate and cultivated in organic farming integrated with other crops and livestock.
WINERY
The winery has been renovated from the 16th century to the present to take advantage of modern enological equipment. The commercialization is carried out in the same winery, in local stores, export and restaurants.
FAMILY
The Bartra i Roig family has continued the family tradition of sixteen documented generations since 1540 with the cultivation of the land and the production of wine. The farmhouse La Serra, where the house and the winery are located, is characterized by the watchtower from where you can see the vineyards, carob trees, forests, the town and the sea.
VINEYARD
The vineyards are arranged on terraces to prevent erosion, surrounded by dry stone walls forming a mosaic with forests and carob trees, characteristic of the traditional landscape of the Penedès marina.
WINES
Marked by the experience and tradition, with our wines we have always tried to offer a sensitive expression of the landscape that surrounds us.
Today we continue to put all our knowledge and dedication to create an excellent product.
